Our next Alpha course begins on Tuesday 24th September at 7.15 pm in the Bryansburn Inn, Bangor. Alpha is a great opportunity to explore the big questions about life. If you have been a Christian for many a year you will find the Alpha course a spiritually refreshing experience that will deepen your faith and broaden your understanding of God. You may be someone who ‘doesn’t do church’ or is puzzled by faith and by coming to Alpha you will find this a great way to be introduced to the Christian faith in a way that is fun, engaging and in no way intimidating.
Aslan Academy – Building faith in families:
Designed with parents in mind. Monthly on a Tuesday evening, from 7:30-9:00 pm, in the Minor Hall, continuing October to May. To see your family grow in faith in Jesus Christ. To take part please use the sign-up sheet in the welcome area or contact church office for more information.
Griefshare – providing help and encouragement after the death of a family member:
Our new course begins on Friday 5th October in the Meeting Room at 7.30 pm. Griefshare is a weekly video seminar and support group to help you rebuild your life after bereavement. Further information is available by speaking with Anne or Lorna c/o the Church Office.
Listening to God Seminar:
A seminar which focuses on learning to recognise God’s voice and the many ways in which He chooses to speak to us and also on encouraging one another to develop our relationships with God through talking and listening to Him. This seminar is intended to be an exciting exploratory time in which we enter more deeply into the wonder of communicating with God through his or her spirit. This 4 week seminar begins on Tuesday 15th October (not 8th October as advertised in West Life) from 10.30 am to 12 noon in the Prayer Room. DivorceCare – providing help and healing for the hurt of separation and divorce:
A support group for people who are experience the pain of separation and divorce with a purpose of finding your hurts, discover hope for the future and experience God’s healing through it all. The DivorceCare programme takes a Biblical approach to separation and divorce and related issues such as reconciliation, remarriage, forgiveness, and the effects on child and families. The next course begins on Thursday 2nd January 2020 at 7.30 pm in the Committee Room. For further information please speak with Dorothy c/o the Church Office.
Life in the Spirit:
The purpose of this seminar is to encourage one another to enter in to all that God wants to pour out upon us through His Holy Spirit and, so, to enable this, we take a leisurely and relaxed approach, answering questions as they arise as we explore what this ‘New Life in the Spirit’ in all about. The new course begins Tuesday 7th January 2020 at 7.30 pm in the Prayer Room. For further information please speak with Heather c/o the Church Office. Freedom in Christ:
Our next Freedom in Christ course will begin on Thursday 16th January 2020 at 8.00 pm in the Conference Room. This 10 week teaching by Steve Goss, Nancy Maldonado and Daryl Fitzgerald focuses on firstly establishing every Christian in the sure foundation of their identify in Jesus and then given them the tools to break free and stay free from all that holds them back.
