Griefshare exists to provide support and encouragement for anyone dealing with the pain of losing a loved one.
Our aim is to offer support and friendship to hurting widows as they struggle with the very real pain associated with their loss.
Each informal evening is centred around a short relevant Bible passage. There is ample opportunity to share common experiences, or simply to listen to others as we chat over a welcome cup of tea.
During the year we encourage our members to join with other Griefshare groups from different areas under the umbrella of Evangelical Ministries. These events include an annual dinner, a weekend residential conference and fellowship evenings.
We are aware that there are no easy answers but we have seen God gradually bring hope to many who have been in deep despair.
We have around 16 members, usually between 8 and 10 present on most evenings.
We offer a warm welcome to any ladies who are experiencing the pain of bereavement following the loss of a husband. Our desire is to point them to the God of all comfort who alone can heal their broken hearts.
"For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to
prosper you and not to harm you, to give you hope and a future."
Jeremiah ch.29 v.11 (NIV)
A new session begins Friday 26th October at 7.30pm in the praise room. There are thirteen weekly sessions.
